If you are looking for fatloss then snacks cannot be discounted as they set up your main meals. If you eat junk between lunch and dinner than more than likely this will carry over to eating junk at dinner.
What I have found very effective for snacking is that your have snacks prepared like other meals especially if you do not have self discipline or are on the go the whole time. If you have them prepared, you are more than likely not going to reach for the easy junk foods which are going to spike your insulin levels between meals.
