The last year and a half has been life changing. I have gone from lying flat on my back for 2 weeks after back surgery to lifting a 100kg deadlift and back squatting 92.5kg. I find I get very emotional thinking back to two years ago before my back surgery. I honestly thought I had no chance of ever participating in a gym again, doing proper exercise or being pain free.
It hasn’t been easy and there is definitely so much room for improvement! There are certainly days when the last thing I feel like is going to the gym but David is always there to encourage me or even just to compromise!
David is so on the ball. He knows everything about my health and physical abilities. He takes every day as a fresh start. He will text me regularly during the week and check up on me after workouts getting a broader idea of where to start with my next workout. Before a session he will do a quick assessment of how I am physically (and emotionally) and he will base our session on that. It is never just a one size-fits-all situation.
David is so understanding and never judges me or makes me do something I’m not comfortable with. On top of the physical strength, my metal strength has completely soared! I was always very quick to give up if something wasn’t working or progressing fast enough but David has completely changed my way of thinking. He makes me believe that anything is possible! This has not only improved my attitude in the gym but also in work and everyday life.
I honestly couldn’t tell you where I would be without David! Certainly not where I am today that’s for sure! I would 100% recommend David to anyone out there who is interested in improving their mental and physical health. It has done wonders for me!
